Corus Engineering Steels is a business unit within the Long Products Division of the Corus Group. It has a work force of approximately 2,050 employees and is accountable for 5% of the group’s turnover equalling over half a billion pounds. Around1.1 million tonnes of steel are produced annually, accounting for 6% of Corus’ total production.
Corus Engineering Steels specialises in high grade and special steels for the world’s leading companies in markets ranging from automotive to aerospace, civil engineering to component manufacturing, energy industries to consumer goods.
Manufacturing and production primarily takes place in Rotherham, Wednesbury and Stocksbridge.
