CanRoute

CanRoute, run by Corus Steel Packaging Recycling, offers a network of regional steel can recycling centres for local authorities, waste collectors and community collection schemes.

These centres buy steel cans collected from kerbside collections or can banks, and prepare them for recycling by Corus.

Since it started in June 1999, CanRoute has collected over 200,000 tonnes of domestic steel packaging for recycling - the equivalent of 5 billion cans
