Around 12.5 billion steel cans are used annually in the UK. Recycling rates for steel packaging have grown rapidly - from 25% in 1998 to around 50% in 2005.
However, there is still much more steel in circulation that could be recycled.
As all steel packaging is 100% recyclable, we have an incredible opportunity to save resources by recycling more steel.
