Wire Rod

Corus Wire Rod is a core business unit within the Long Products division of Corus, located on the Scunthorpe integrated iron and steel making site. As a strategically important business within the company, it has benefited from a series of significant investments in steel making, rolling and distribution facilities since 2005. These investments have enabled the wire rod business to pursue its strategy of focusing on developing high quality, high value premium rod products and services for the wire industry.

The essential ingredient in our relationship with our customers is to consistently provide the right quality steel rod to satisfy individual requirements. We are consistently investing in our manufacturing processes, our quality systems and our people to deliver this from Scunthorpe, where we have world class quality basic oxygen steel making and rod manufacture.
