Advantages of Aludip high-integrity steels
Aludip high-integrity steels offer three products for performance-critical applications. The range includes Aludip BQ, Aludip BQX and Aludip BQHE.
Aludip high-integrity steels have many advantages. They offer a low-cost alternative to stainless steel and aluminium. Aludip steels are stronger than aluminium, allowing lighter gauges to be used, whilst possessing a higher melting point than both that of aluminium (650-660°C) and zinc (419°C). Additionally, the risk of extensive pools of melted aluminium in the event of a fire is reduced, thanks to the low aluminium content of Aludip. The excellent corrosion resistance of Aludip saves on pre-treatments and paint, should it be necessary to paint the material. All Aludip products are zinc-free, and hence safe to use with stainless steel.
