Pre-finished steels for automotive and other bonding applications

Adhesive coated mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium are used in weather strips for doors and bonnets where the bond of metal to polymer is absolutely crucial in maintaining the weather tight seal, both on day one and after 10 years.

Firsteel have taken this technology and applied it for use into gaskets and other types of sealing systems.  The technology is also used in bonding to fabrics, where the fabric benefits from the inherent strength of metal such as in dust-masks
