Through these services, Corus is able to add value to customers' activities by improving the efficiency of supply chain logistics, enabling reduced stocks and by reducing transport costs.
Processing is carried out by Corus Service Centres or Corus Northern Engineering Services depending on the project and the customer location.
Plates technical advisory service
Corus have extensive technical and metallurgical expertise covering all aspects of plate products.
Bending
Corus has a hydraulic brake press capable of handling dimensions of up to 5800mm long, so please contact Corus to discuss your needs.
Bevelling
Plates can be edge planed to produce a range of bevelled shapes such as square, bevel or J.
Drilling
More or less any dimension of hole can be drilled, up to 50mm in diameter and anywhere on the plate.
Levelling
Using S275 material as an example the machine will level: 62mm thick and below at 2438mm wide to 105mm thick at 762mm wide.
Profiling
Gas and plasma profiling are available and our machines can also be used for plate stripping into lengths.
Rolling and forming
Corus can roll cans, cylinders or part cylinders from plates. Two machines are available, the 1450 tonne capacity horizontal roll machine and the 5000 tonne capacity vertical roll machine.
Shotblasting and painting
Corus can provide plate products in the shot blasted and primed condition if required.
