Caster Design Studies
Expertise has been accumulated over many years covering all aspects of continuous casting and is used to assist in the design of new casters and the enhancement of existing casters to increase productivity and improve product quality.
Continuous Casting Dynamic Spray Control
Dynamic Spray Control is a means of controlling the secondary cooling water flow rates on a continuous casting machine to ensure that a consistent strand surface temperature profile is maintained within the spray chamber, regardless of changes.
Liquid Steel Temperature Control
The Liquid Steel Temperature Control System comprises two complimentary systems, namely "Ladle Thermal Tracking" and "Final Ladle Dip".
Mould Thermal Monitoring
We have developed a system, which protects against sticker breakouts and is a key aid to improving the surface quality of cast products. The product utilises thermocouples in mould plates to provide information in real-time related to mould conditions and the occurrence of surface defects. In addition to sticker breakout detection the system has the potential to detect other types of breakout.
