Blast Furnace Electronic Trajectory Probe
To measure trajectories accurately, Corus has developed an electronic trajectory measuring probe.
The probe is positioned in the furnace to intercept the flow of material just before it impacts on the stockline. When a series of sensors, positioned 50mm apart, are activated by material impact, they send electronic signals to the recording system.
