Corus’ role throughout the project was to manage the interface between the Highways Agency, their contractor and Network Rail. Corus assisted the project team in achieving their programme efficiently and without undue delay.

Arlesley Reconstruction of Overbridge
The five span pre-stressed concrete structure which crosses the electrified East Coast Main Line was understrength. Initially a bailey bridge was erected over the existing structure whilst the scheme was fully developed. Pier strengthening was required to facilitate this temporary solution.

Doncaster Interchange
The scheme was constructed on a former car park and land acquired from Network Rail by CPO. The perimeter of the building was in close proximity to the electrified East Coast Main Line.
