New tolerances on dimensions and shape

In response to the revised standards, EN 10143 : 2006 and EN 10131 : 2006, Corus Strip Products UK has published two new explanatory leaflets. The leaflets list the products affected by the revised standards and summarise the technical changes in each of the standards. Readers can also compare tolerances in the new standards with the superseded tolerances.

Generally, thickness tolerances are tighter than before and they are specified for more discrete ranges of yield strength than they were in the previous standards. Normal flatness tolerances are also tighter than before.
