Corus gains Ford Motor Company supply award

Ford Motor Company's 'Q1' flag is flying over Port Talbot steelworks today as Corus Strip Products UK has received a critical award to supply Jaguar and Land Rover. The Q1 supplier quality assurance award enables the South Wales based company to continue a supply relationship of over 30,000 tonnes of steel per year. The material is used for Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles built in the UK.

Receiving the Q1 flag and commemoration plaque, Robert Bizzell, Acting Managing Director at Corus, said: “This award places us among the best in the industry. It acknowledges that we meet or exceed Ford Motor Company standards of excellence in everything from product quality and continuous improvement, through to service and delivery.” He adds, “Our aim is to create a sustainable steel industry in South Wales and this award shows that we have the faith of a key customer for our product.”
