Business welcomes new commercial director

From 16 July, Adam Smith takes over as commercial director of Corus Strip Products UK.

Adam has held various commercial roles since he joined British Steel in 1989, looking after service centres, re-rollers, and manufacturers of tubes, drums and radiators.

In 1998 he moved to Corus Colors as commercial manager where he worked with European Service Centres and end users in the domestic appliance, manufactured goods and construction sectors.

When Corus acquired Colorsteels in 2003, Adam helped integrate the new company into the Corus fold, eventually becoming development manager, then commercial manager and, in 2005, director. It is from there that Adam joins Corus Strip Products UK.

Adam’s strong background in strip products will allow him to quickly understand the business and continue to improve its products and services.
