Towering Success for Corus Middle East

Corus Middle East team have won an order to supply 2,700 tonnes of structural sections and 500 tonnes of plates supplied by CC&I for the Marina Crown Tower, a 52 storey building in the West Side Marina in Dubai.

The project, booked through from Eversendai Engineering - a Far Eastern company based in Dubai, was won against strong competition after four months of hard work by the Corus Middle East team with the support of CC&I.

General Manager Technical, Haydar Ibrahim and colleague Ilyas Kazi say that the order was won because a combination of the good relationship built up with the contractor and the technical assistance provided by the local team. Eversendai are known and respected as a traditional construction company but are now also getting into design and fabrication, as was the case with this prestigious project.

The building is part of a recent development for flats and apartments at the marina. Materials are to be delivered during the second half of this year in time for construction work - due to start in the first quarter of 2004.
