Corus Combines International Operations

Corus has brought together its European and North American market offices - previously separate functions - to become an integral part of Corus International.  Through the fusion of global resource that it was designed to bring about, a new and exciting field of opportunity has been created for the greatly enlarged business unit and its personnel. 

The divisional structure announcement for Corus Distribution and Building Systems made at the end of October 2003 marks a significant step forward for Corus International. This is the first time ever that Corus has brought together all of its international capability as a single unit. This means that CI can effectively now adopt a co-ordinated commercial approach with its Projects and Trading businesses across all regions.

Eighteen new market offices in fourteen countries are located as follows: Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, USA and  Mexico.

This brings CI's total number of sites to 63 around the world and with the addition of 154 employees in Europe and around 60 employees in North America extends our global team strength to close to 500.  These new networks will play a crucial role in the development of Projects and Trading and provides CI with an exceptional opportunity to build on existing strengths.
