Corus Primary Aluminium

Corus Primary Aluminium produces around 250 thousand tons of pure aluminium metal per year.

Two smelters transform raw alumina (processed bauxite) into primary aluminium using an electrolysis process. The primary aluminium is cast into products, while scrap is remelted into products, contributing to a total casthouse output of over 300,000 tons per year. The smelters are located in Delfzijl (the Netherlands) and Voerde (Germany).
