Preferred ‘A’ Levels or equivalent – business, numerate subjects

Supplies is a varied function in support of commercial business decisions. It involves customer/supplier liaison, analysis, teamwork, negotiation, monitoring, contract management and supporting management decisions.
The purpose of the role is to support the frontline negotiation team with analysis, documentation, evaluation and presentation to senior management. The trainee may also have the opportunity to assist in contract/project work within the department.
The successful candidate will have at least 2 grade C 'A' Levels (or equivalent). Successful candidates will be IT literate (e.g. knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly Excel) whilst demonstrating a good level of numeracy. The successful candidate will show drive and motivation, whilst having excellent communication, time management and prioritising skills, to interact effectively within a team environment and provide a professional and efficient service to the business.
Desirable skills to carry out this role are: presentation experience, and an understanding of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
