Location: Management Accounts, Port Talbot
Preferred ‘A’ levels or equivalent: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Maths, numerate subjects
Finance is a varied function at the centre of all business decisions. It involves pricing our products and services, devising budgets, regulating cash flow, invoicing, costing, evaluating capital projects and guiding and supporting management decisions.
The purpose of this role is to assist in and take responsibility for weekly and monthly tasks within the Management Accounts team. The trainee will help compile, evaluate and financially quantify production statistics to produce relevant financial reports for finance, manufacturing and senior management. There may also be an opportunity for the trainee to assist in project work within the department.
The successful candidate will have at least two grade C ‘A’ levels (or equivalent) and have GCSEs in Maths and English Language. Successful candidates will be IT literate (e.g. knowledge of Microsoft packages) and demonstrate a good level of numeracy. The successful candidate will show drive, motivation and good skills in communication and time management, creating effective interaction in a team.
Any previous accountancy experience would be desirable in carrying out this role.
