Data management (Product and Market Development)

We have to make sure that we develop the right products for our customers, which will both improve the performance of our customers’ products and make us money. Product & Market Development (PMD) provides the link between product development and the customer.

Data Management is an integral part of product policy in the Product and Market Development function and is responsible for generating manufacturing process routes for Corus Strip Products UK. The routes generated contain the manufacturing units through which the material must pass and the technical process parameters required at each unit. This ensures that the product we make meets the customer's requirements.

Data Management is therefore key to the steelmaking process and continues to develop its profile in an ever-developing industry.
