Function Summary

We need to make sure that the products we are developing will be needed and used in the marketplace, so liaison with the commercial, manufacturing, and technical departments, as well as our customers, at every stage of the development process is vital.  The environment and sustainability are at the forefront of our Research, Development & Technology activities.

Students and graduates applying for the Research, Development & Technology function usually have a degree or Masters / PhD in metallurgy, materials science, physics, chemistry or engineering.  Corus training is accredited by many professional institutions, including IOM3, IChemE and IMechE. Strong self-motivation and the ability to work with all kinds of people are key skills. You will stretch your imagination to the full, putting your degree to practical use and meeting the challenges of technical, financial and time targets.

A dual ladder career system enables development into a technical expert or a general management role depending on your talents and preferences.
