Function Summary

The grades of steel we make are continually changing to meet market demand. Whether they contain titanium or vanadium alloys, high silicon for electrical use or high carbon steels (<0.1%) for aerospace use, Corus metallurgists ensure we get the process right.

Graduates entering this function will also work with our customers,
suppliers and representatives of other functions to help develop our processes and procedures to ensure the metal we produce is consistently of the highest quality.  The work is varied involving plant operation and development, plant process chemistry and metallurgy and quality assurance. Our aim is to give the customer the right material for the job and, in the long term, to ensure that technical innovations maintain our products competitive edge.

Corus training is accredited by the IoM3. We are looking for innovative, dedicated and analytical professionals who can interpret information and communicate effectively with customers and people in all areas of the company.
