Armourer and Brasiers' student award
Joint Corus and Armourers & Brasiers’ student placement award
The Worshipful Company of Armourers and Brasiers, in conjunction with Corus, awards two scholarships of £1,500 to undergraduate students in recognition of excellence in the areas of engineering, metallurgy or technical work.
To be eligible you must be an undergraduate student who, by the deadline date, has completed a placement in the past year (minimum of 3 months - summer period) at a Corus business unit.
To apply students submit a report of no more than 1500 words which has direct business relevance to Corus and is about engineering, metallurgy or a technical subject.
The Worshipful Company of Armourers and Brasiers was formed in 1322 to control the standards and quality in armour making, metalworking and to maintain high standards within the industry.
To continue the tradition of metal working and technical education, the Company encourages young people to study Materials Science, Metallurgy and Engineering and to work in those fields after they have graduated.
