I started working for Corus with a 6 months placement in the “Production Services” team in Port Talbot, dealing with contractors who provide various services from maintenance to consulting expertise.

Currently I’m working in the sector team “Goods UK” and I’m the buyer for 6 different commodities at national level. I have plenty of autonomy regarding all the sourcing aspects from strategy formulation to contract negotiation and implementation.

It is hard and challenging, but I can count on the support of senior managers and on a very good training programme which includes CIPS, training sessions on negotiation skills, value in use and lean thinking.
