
Product and Market Development
We have to make sure that we develop the right products for our customers, which will both improve the performance of our customers’ products and make us money. Product & Market Development (PMD) provides the link between product development and the customer.
Degrees required:
Ideally, 1st, 2:1 or equivalent
Any degree discipline (a science degree would be a distinct advantage)
Function summary
The PMD team ensures functions work together to provide a world-class customer service, giving our customers the products that create value. The focus is to develop emerging markets and look for new opportunities, as well as building on existing ones. Market intelligence and analysis of competitors are important parts of the PMD role.
PMD takes new ideas from Research & Development through to the commercial arena, taking into consideration the current market place, customers and competitors. To achieve this we look for technical and commercial graduates for this function. We recruit students and graduates with any degree discipline, though a technical degree would be an advantage.
For this function you will need to have excellent communication skills, as you will be required to work with multi-disciplinary teams that span Research & Development, Manufacturing, Finance and Commercial.
