Many of our customers have very specialised needs, and all require a dedicated team. Our Commercial people need to balance customer needs with the demands of the business.
Degrees Required:
Ideally, 1st, 2:1 or equivalent
Any degree discipline (additional languages would be an advantage)
Function summary
The essential focus of the function is on selling and marketing a diverse range of products, services and supply chain solutions. The commercial function encompasses the key areas of account management and customer liaison. You will develop a wide knowledge of products, processes, competitors and, most importantly, customer needs. You will also gain a broad understanding of economic factors and trends affecting our industry. Liaison with the Logistics, Technical and Manufacturing and Finance functions is all part of the day-today Commercial role.
Most Commercial opportunities are in account administration & management with very few in Marketing. We accept any degree for the Commercial function; technical subjects and/or additional languages are an advantage. A real desire to sell coupled with business awareness, trouble-shooting and excellent communication skills are a must. You need to be able to prioritise effectively, grasp new concepts quickly and thrive under pressure.
